Two years at PwC, banking and insurance

I was a strategy and operations consultant at PwC Spain, mostly in the PMO of a €200M+ programme replacing the core systems of a top-5 global insurer in Italy, Portugal and Spain.

I led a six-person workstream reporting to the client’s C-level and designed how 150+ people organised their work. The hard part was never technical: it was getting 20+ teams to plan and decide the same way.

The part I liked most

AI adoption, from inside

Nobody asked me to. I started an AI adoption programme for my department from scratch: found the use cases worth the effort, set a learning plan and ran the sessions myself, with Copilot, Claude and Gemini.

It ended up being the team’s internal reference for AI. We measured a 25% productivity gain.

Also: an AI agent on Azure OpenAI that handles claims intake for a leading Spanish insurer, from design to go-live, with a person in the loop for the cases the agent can’t close on its own.
